EXCLUSIVE: real reason why Pope Benedict XVI resigned

Pope Benedict XVI also called Papal is the head of Catholic Church and by wide acceptance the head of General Overseers of Christian Churches announced to the world in something akin to Murder that he will be resigning from office on the last of this month.

The world has since gone gaga, however Talkcity in our usual analysis has investigated and found several reasons why the Pope chose this line of action. Remember that no Pope in history of the Church since 1414 years (About 650yrs after the death of Christ and about 50yrs after the bible was manufactured) has ever resigned. Pope post is Life and death, or so it seemed.

Our analysis showed that the Pope is leaving the office because of what Christianity has become. There have been allegations of abuse, rape, oath violation, election manipulation, etc in the Catholic Church today. Vatican has for awhile been in the bad press section of the media. The unreported complicit of this Pope in the whole saga bewildering the church has not made it any easier.

Meddling into church matters by global leaders under the covers of safe-guarding human right has made the job of Pope harder for Benedict XVI. Many presidents and Prime Ministers in the west have indirectly questioned the relevance of the church and have been trying everything to make the church subject to human laws (This is what the church would not in a second want to happen).

The Pope had enough when the British parliament endorsed a bill championed by the Prime Minister, David Cameron to allow gay couples marry in churches. Pope Benedict XVI knows the implication of this move as it open the floodgate for many other nations to pass gay-right-bill.

This Pope resigned because he won't want to be remembered as the Pope who was there when Gay couples marry in churches.

Following Pope Benedict's PDP-styled rigged election, many of us believed he will be the last Pope to effectively hold the church together. By this action it is now confirmed that, The Church has finally lost his strong monopoly in the world.

Jonathan’s convoy in auto crash in France

President Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy was Tuesday involved in an accident in Paris as the Nigerian president was traveling with his aides to a meeting with the French President Francois Gerard Hollande, website, SaharaReporters.com is reporting.

The website quoted French police sources as saying that the accident occurred 15 minutes away from the Elysee Palace, the venue of the official meeting with the French leader.
“The car involved in the accident was the fifth car behind that of President Jonathan,” said the police source.
The report further said Jamilu Waziri, a presidential liaison officer (PLO), was injured in the accident and had to be taken to a Paris hospital where he received treatment for a broken ankle.
As a result of the accident, Mr. Waziri was unable to attend the meeting, the report said.
The website further said Mr. Waziri later flew with President Jonathan back to Abuja.
SaharaReporters quoted French officials as confirming  the incident.
The officials reportedly said the large size of the Nigerian delegation meant that Mr. Jonathan’s aides could not fit into the official vehicles provided by the French government.

BREAKING NEWS: Pope Benedict XVI to resign post

Pope Benedict, leader of the world's 1.2 billionCatholics, said on Monday he will resign on Feb 28. because he no longer has the strength to fulfill the duties of his office, becoming the first pontiff since the Middle Ages to take such a step.
The 85-year-old German-born Pope, hailed as a hero by conservative Catholics and viewed with suspicion by liberals, said he had noticed that his strength had deteriorated over recent months.
His papacy has been beset by a child sexual abuse crisis that tarnished the Church, one address in which he upset Muslims and a scandal over the leaking of his private papers by his personal butler.
In a statement, the pope said in order to govern "...both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.
"For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter," he said according to a statement from the Vatican.
A Vatican spokesman said the pontiff would step down from 2 p.m. ET on February 28, leaving the office vacant until a successor was chosen to Benedict who succeeded John Paul, one of history's most popular pontiffs.
Elected to the papacy on April 19, 2005 when he was 78 -- 20 years older than John Paul was when he was elected -- he ruled over a slower-paced, more cerebral and less impulsive Vatican.
But while conservatives cheered him for trying to reaffirm traditional Catholic identity, his critics accused him of turning back the clock on reforms by nearly half a century and hurting dialogue with Muslims, Jews and other Christians.
Before he was elected Pope, the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was known by such critical epithets as "God's rottweiler" because of his stern stand on theological issues.

Woman Delivers Baby In Keke Marwa In Lagos

A woman, Mrs. Mutiat Aileru has delivered a baby girl in a tricycle in Abule-Egba area of Lagos. The woman delivered the baby at about 5p.m. The reporter was walking by the roadside near Awori bus stop when a woman suddenly ran out of the commercial tricycle, Keke Marwa and raised the alarm that her relative was delivering a baby inside the tricycle they had boarded.

She had called for urgent help from the owners of the shops by the road and women promptly removed the wrappers on them to shield the woman in labour. Immediately the woman was delivered on the back sit of the tricycle, the reporter quickly took photographs of the new baby, a girl. The women rushed to pick her up, some cleaning her, others cuddling and others yet bringing accessories to assist in the delivery. Some even heaped verbal invectives at the reporter for daring to take the baby’s picture.

“Are you mad! Why are you taking the baby’s pictures. Who you be? If you are not careful we will beat you up here. Why would you take the photograph of a woman delivering in a tricycle? You don’t even know how to do your work.” Many of them said. There would have been a mob action, had the reporter not feigned calling on the police to come to the area. It was then the mob gathering against the reporter receded.

While the women were still busy attending to the mother and her baby, the reporter took on the driver of the tricycle in camera. Asked how the journey of the miraculous delivery began, Prophet Ariyo Ajibola of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Erimo in Ijaiye-Ojokoro, who drove the tricycle, said: “It was at Ikeja computer village that the two women that followed the mother approached me to beg me to assist them to carry a pregnant woman to a hospital in Abule Egba.

At first I was reluctant but when they began to plead, I obliged. Moreso, as a prophet, I had an inner conviction that there won’t be any problem. And I took them in. But when we got past Agege, the pregnant woman began to moan in seriuos labour. She became hysterical and her people began to panic. But I was relaxed and praying silently for God’s intervention, I was calming the women down. At a point, I took one-way to beat the gridlock on the road.

Then suddenly I heard a loud noise of a rushing liquid, when we just left Abule-Egba bus stop and the other women began to raise the alarm that a baby had just been delivered. And they began calling for help. As a man and a Christian, I just thank God for what has happened. It is just a miracle and I will give a special thanksgiving to God once I get to the church for an evening programme we have today. I asked them to pay N1000 but they offered N700 and I accepted but even if they don’t pay me, I won’t be unhappy.”

Daily Sun also spoke to the mother of the baby after she had been cleaned up and positioned well in the passengers’ seat of the tricycle, feeling weak, she told her story: “ I am Latifat Aileru. I am from Ibadan and my husband from from Kwara. We live in Ipokia. I came to meet my husband’s people in Oshodi. I am so happy that I delivered the baby safely.”

Nigerian Student Verbally Abused In A UK Hospital

Screen Shot 2013-02-05 at 12.29.08 PM

‘You’re coming here and pleading poverty while we’re paying taxes’: Shocking rant of woman against foreign students in hospital waiting room caught on mobile
A shocking video emerged today of a woman going on a rant to patients in a hospital waiting room.
The two-minute clip, filmed on Saturday night at Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk, saw the woman shout abuse at students Gina Thompson, 23, of Nigeria, and her 21-year-old Spanish friend.
The woman asked them ‘where do you come from’ before saying: ‘You’re coming over here and you’re pleading poverty. We are paying taxes you a***holes and we are going down in this crisis.’
The incident took place at 7:30pm in the hospital’s accident and emergency department waiting room, where Miss Thompson had gone with her friend who had sprained her ankle playing sport.
Miss Thompson, of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is a film and media student at University Campus Suffolk and has been in the UK for two years, while her friend from Seville, Spain, arrived last September.
The woman shouted in front of about 20 shocked patients and friends or relatives: ‘What has happened to this f*****g country’, before directly abusing Miss Thompson who was sitting down.
She asked her ‘Where do you come from?’, to which Miss Thompson replied: ‘What does it matter where I’m from?’
The woman said: ‘We are paying taxes you a***holes and we are going down in this crisis’, before Miss Thompson replied: ‘Don’t call me an a***hole’.
But the woman said: ‘I will, because you’re coming over here and you’re pleading poverty. I am not well.’
But Miss Thompson responded: ‘You won’t call me an a***hole. I will not accept that. Don’t call me an a***hole. Don’t come to my face and insult me. You won’t do that. Calling me an a***hole? Are you alright?’
The woman said back: ‘Don’t accept it, you fat a***’, before a voice off camera said the police had been called.
The woman was then apprehended by a group of nurses, paramedics and security guards, saying: ‘There’s a revolution going on here.’
Miss Thompson told MailOnline after the incident: ‘I was so embarrassed and I couldn’t do anything because I was stuck in the situation, so we just had to laugh about it. All the attention was on us.
‘She said I’ve come here to claim poverty. That’s not true. I’m an international student and I pay £13,000 a year in tuition fees. My friend is a student here from Spain.’
‘It made me feel low of myself. I had to go back home and question why it was wrong I was here. My friend was surprised. She was scared, she was terrified.
‘She kind of felt unsafe afterwards. She is Spanish and her English is not perfect, but she could sort of understand what the woman was saying. When she got back home, she said: “Are we in trouble?”
This woman was a very normal looking woman who you wouldn’t think would abuse you. How many people are the same like that? I’m scared.’
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman told MailOnline: ‘We have arrested and charged somebody. She has been charged with assault on a police officer, two counts of racially aggravated assault and two charges of assault. So, five charges altogether.
‘She is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on the 20th February. She was arrested at the A&E department on Saturday evening and she was brought in. She was charged on Sunday night.’
